Big tiles or small tiles?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When choosing dolomite or limestone floor tiles you need to make several decisions. One of those is the selection of material and this depends mainly on the preferences of the buyer. However, the question of choosing the size of tiles needs advice from a specialist<\/strong>. There are six different stones<\/strong><\/a> available in the Reval Stone online shop. The widths of floor tiles start at 20 cm and end at 60 cm. In addition, these tiles are available in different lengths. But should you prefer smaller tiles or bigger tiles? Broadly speaking, it can be said that as a rule very big tiles are not used in smaller rooms as this causes too much wastage. However, this is also an aspect where the buyer\u2019s preferences are important. This means that two of the ordered tile\u2019s measurements are fixed (width and thickness) but the length of the tiles differs<\/strong>. In the interest of achieving a beautiful result it is important to observe that when laying out the tiles with falling lengths, the joints don\u2019t match (the distance between transverse joints could ideally be a minimum of 100 mm). This is shown on the adjacent image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a classical pattern for laying out floor tiles and it uses tiles of different sizes. The pattern repeats itself and it gives the floor an antique and rustic look<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
